The base application is built under the #TawidCOVID Innovation Challenge of the United Nations Development Programme - Philippines with the support of the Embassy of Japan. We have designed and tested the vaccination management feature with the San Pascual Rural Health Unit. We are looking for partner communities to develop the solution into an all-in-one app. Are you in?
Barangay health workers and midwives typically text, call, or go from house to house of families just to remind the parents of the vaccination schedules of their children. This is a tedious task on top of the many health programs they need to oversee. Automating this task can save time and make processes more efficient for our health workers on the ground.
There is a diversity of factors to consider to ensure that members of the community are engaged enough to make good decisions regarding the health of their families. We coordinate closely with barangay health workers to understand the motivations of the community, so we could co-design campaigns that would fit the community's specific needs.
